The Research of the Unknown

- participation in series of creative workshops-

Thanks to the support of the Zoltán Imre Program, the Workshop Foundation will continue the series of The Research of Unknown in 2022, in which a creative duo can receive professional, financial and infrastructural support for 8 weeks of research work. The main goal of the programis to encourage in-depth research and experimentation on a new, unknown field or topic and to share it with the audience. The artists and creators participating in the creative workshop do not have to create a production.

In addition to the workshop, the program provides three opportunities for presentations open to the public:

  • Presentation of the Topic - where the creative duo presents their research topic
  • Work-in-progress Presentation - in minimal theatrical conditions, where the emphasis is mainly on the feedback of the audience
  • Closing Presentation - summary of the research – 17/05/2022, MU Theater

The period that can be applied for:  17/10/2022 - 12/12/2022.

The program is mainly for young and / or early-stage contemporary artists and creators who are interested in experimentation and innovation. The center of their planned research is dance, body and moving. It's for those who are open and want to work in collaboration with another artist working in a different field of arts or with a professional from the field of science. This is not an exclusionary reason, but artists who do not currently have a project supported by the Imre Zoltán Program and who have not previously participated as creators in the program series will have an advantage.

  • Rehearsals in the studios of the Workshop Foundation
  • Financial support for both participating creators (HUF 400,000 in total)
  • Professional mentoring (with the Hungarian artist best suited to the idea of the invited artists)
  • Promotional support
