EDIT International Dance Film Festival, launched by BOF - Budapest Autumn Festival and the Workshop Foundation, is being held this year for the third time. The event offers a selection of classical works and the latest productions in this genre that has a long past in Hungary too but in recent years has been rather neglected. In 2007 it presents new works by American, English, Kuwaiti, Japanese and Italian artists, and for the first time the programme also includes a dance documentary film from Emio Greco / PC, a formation whose performances are well known in Hungary too. A special attraction of the festival will be a time trip back to the forties and fifties: the experimental films of Maya Deren, one of the pioneers of the genre, will probably be a revelation even for connoisseurs. This year those who missed the previous festivals can catch up with the masterpieces screened earlier thanks to a "best of" selection. Workshop Foundation
